Description
This item is a Chawan (茶碗, bowl). It is said this bowl is categorized as a Kiseto Chawan (黄瀬戸茶碗). It is a type of glazed pottery fired in Seto-style pottery kilns in Mino (美濃, today’s Gifu prefecture) during the Azuchi and Momoyama periods (1568/1573-1600). Many of them are glazed with pale yellow glaze and have copper-green mottled or lined patterns. This bowl is a work of art with an irregular shape that allows us to see its maker’s hand movements.

We normally ship via EMS (Express Mail Service) provided by Japan Post. It usually takes at least 5-14 days to deliver the package after you place an order. Time of delivery is estimated as accurately as possible by the carrier but does not take into account any delays beyond our control such as by inclement weather, post office holiday seasons.
