This item is a Chaire (茶入). It is a kind of container for Matcha (抹茶, powdered green tea). In tea ceremonies, there are two main types of Matcha containers. One is called the Chaire, a tool for advanced users, basically used for storing strong tea. The Chaire is usually pottery. On the other hand, the Natsume (棗) is a container for thin tea and is basically made of wood and lacquered. However, there are also pottery Natsumes and Natsumes made from bamboo or Japanese paper with lacquer.
The base color of this Chaire is brown, and silvery patterns are applied to it, giving it the appearance of being covered in snow. The round shape fits well in your hand and is easy to handle.

【Shipping duration】
We normally ship via EMS (Express Mail Service) provided by Japan Post. It usually takes at least 5-14 days to deliver the package after you place an order. Time of delivery is estimated as accurately as possible by the carrier but does not take into account any delays beyond our control such as by inclement weather, post office holiday seasons.
