Animal Design

We deal with a wide range of animal patterns, from continental sacred beasts such as dragons or phoenixes to familiar animals such as horses and dogs. There are several patterns that Samurai loved because these motifs are associated with other words based on the name of the creature.

And that leads to the Bushido (Japanese chivalry) “How Samurai should be.” Some motifs were also incorporated into the design as auspicious patterns from an idiom “Cranes live for 1,000 years. Turtles live for 10,000 years”, for example. We introduce lots of Tsuba with various designs such as birds, fish, and even insects.
