About the design, this sword stand has a refined look. You see three birds standing by the water. Due to their appearances, we think these birds are the Shirasagi (白鷺, egret). Egret is a popular motif because of its beautiful white feathers and elegant figure.
White is associated with light and is also a color that expresses purity and sacredness. Therefore, since ancient times, white animals have been considered highly spiritual and sacred messengers of the gods.
A messenger of god is thought to be something that god appears in a different form and has the role of representing god’s thoughts. Therefore, animals close to the gods were considered auspicious existences and believed to bring good luck. A pure white egret is also considered a messenger of the gods and is enshrined in shrines all over Japan. There is also a theory that egrets appeared to convey the rise of luck in competition and work. In addition, the white heron is also an incarnation of Yakushi Nyorai (薬師如来, Bhaisajyaguru). It is a Buddha that cures illness, brings health and longevity, and removes pain from the heart. While it is unknown whether this religious connotation influenced the design of this sword stand, the white heron has long fascinated people with its beauty. *As this product is an antique, there are small scratches and dents on the wood. Please check each photo and ensure its condition. This sword stand will be packed in the wooden container box, which is shown in the pictures. There are damages on this box such as split of boards.

We normally ship via EMS (Express Mail Service) provided by Japan Post. It usually takes at least 5-14 days to deliver the package after you place an order. Time of delivery is estimated as accurately as possible by the carrier but does not take into account any delays beyond our control such as by inclement weather, post office holiday seasons.
We offer Free International Shipping as long as we can ship your order by EMS. If you prefer other shipping carriers, please contact us.

After receiving the full payment from you, we will apply for its export permit from the Board of Education to legally export the item to other countries.
