Its motif might be cloud. It&#8217;s said cloud is dragon&#8217;s den, and even Gods live there. Based on this idea, the cloud is considered it has a special power and thought it would bring good luck. If this handguard&#8217;s design was made from the cloud motif, its creator (or owner) might have believed this thought.<\/span><br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-4474 alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/www.samuraimuseum.jp\/shop\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/OG100087_tsuba-1-scaled-e1597983658617.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>\u3010Scabbard\u3011<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u00a0The scabbard is painted with glossy black lacquer. During the refining stage of lacquer, it&#8217;s mixed with iron. They hold an enormous weapon that looks similar to Naginata (Japanese halberd). Gold inlaid flowers bloom, and you would find the same flowers on the Fuchi.
