\u3010Handguard\u3011<\/strong><\/span>
\n\u00a0Circle-shaped iron handguard with a Kozuka hole<\/span>
\n\u00a0The geometric pattern decorates this handguard, and it’s engraved with the Sukashi-bori technique (openwork). Its motif might be cloud. It’s said cloud is dragon’s den, and even Gods live there. Based on this idea, the cloud is considered it has a special power and thought it would bring good luck. If this handguard’s design was made from the cloud motif, its creator (or owner) might have believed this thought.<\/span>
\n\"\"<\/p>\n

\u3010Scabbard\u3011<\/strong><\/span>
\n\u00a0The scabbard is painted with glossy black lacquer. During the refining stage of lacquer, it’s mixed with iron. The luster of the black coat is made from the oxidation effect of iron.
\n<\/span>\"\"<\/p>\n

\u3010Handle\u3011<\/strong><\/span>
\n\u00a0The handle is covered with stingray skin to reinforce the handle and not slip when its owner holds it. The brown thread includes the handle with the Hishi-Maki technique, a kind of Tsukamaki method.<\/span>

\u3010Pommel\u3011<\/strong><\/span>
\n\u00a0Two people are engraved on the Kashira. They hold an enormous weapon that looks similar to Naginata (Japanese halberd). Gold inlaid flowers bloom, and you would find the same flowers on the Fuchi. This pommel might describe a scene of a legend or a historical fact.\u00a0<\/span>
