Certificate: Tokubetsu Kicho Shiryo issued by The Association for the Research and Preservation of Japanese Helmets and Armor<\/span><\/p>\n

Primary material : Iron<\/span><\/p>\n

This type of Samurai helmet(Kabuto) is categorized as Akodanari Suji Kabuto. Akodanari means one kind of Japanese watermelon. The shape of this Kabuto resembles this fruit. This helmet was designed to ease the impact of attacks by having space on the top area and had better ventilation compared to other types. For these reasons, this style gained its popularity in the Muromachi period. We believe this helmet was created emerging armor makers such as Myochin(\u660e\u73cd), Yaotome(\u516b\u4e59\u5973) schools in the Edo period. The helmet used 6 iron plates and it was inspired by an old style of Akodanari Kabuto from the Muromachi period. There is a Yotsubishi(\u56db\u83f1)family crest, which was\u00a0 prestigious crest among Samurai.<\/span><\/p>\n

Based on the condition and beautiful iron surface, it is a beautiful piece that deserves its certificate.<\/span><\/p>\n

\nAfter receiving the full payment from you, we will apply for its export permit from the Board of Education to legally export the helmet to other countries<\/span>. It normally takes around 1-1.5 months to receive\u00a0this permit.
