\u00a0Regarding the design, the butterfly (\u8776, Ch\u014d) and peony (\u7261\u4e39, Botan) are depicted in gold inlay (\u91d1\u8c61\u5d4c, kin-z\u014dgan), while parts of the leaves incorporate the mother-of-pearl inlay (\u87ba\u923f, raden) technique. Raden is a highly refined technique where thin layers of shell, often from abalone or pearl oysters, are carefully cut and embedded into the surface, creating a shimmering effect that changes with the angle of light.<\/span><\/p>\n
