Samurai Sword YUKIMURA SANADA style Katana

【Description】
Sanada Yukimura (Circa 1570 – 1615) was a strong Samurai during the Warring States period who spent his life in adversity.

The most remarkable part about his military carrier was his work as the retainer of the Toyotomi clan. Yukimura was present at the Battle of Sekigahara, coordinating Sanada’s unit and pursued defiance against the Tokugawa clan at the Siege of Osaka. Yukimura’s unit is believed to have nearly defeated Tokugawa’s, although Tokugawa’s reinforcements eventually defeated Sanada.

His family crest ‘Rokumonsnen’ represents the six coins in Buddhist culture that you need to offer the sailor when you go across the river, which divides the real world and the afterlife, which symbolizes the clan’s determination showing that they were ready to sacrifice themselves for the family’s sake. The Rokumonsen crest is what is represented on this product as well.

【Give the Replica Japanese Sword to Your Significant Other】
Are you looking for a unique gift for someone interested in Japanese culture?

We recommend you give them the replica Japanese sword as a present.

All our replica Japanese swords are great to display as they are precisely designed following the traditional Nihonto style.

Katana was the primary weapon of Samurai for a long time during the Samurai period. In Japanese culture, giving a sword to someone means to hope that the sword protects them from evil spirits and misfortune. Therefore, the Japanese sword still has its place in Japanese ceremonial events such as the Japanese wedding. The bride puts a Tanto(primarily known as Kaiken) under their belt, hoping that it protects them. Also, in the Shichigosan ceremony, people give a short Katana to their children wishing for their healthy growth.
